Go Like the Wind Montessori School is slowly growing our 0-3 program after COVID. We are seeking a Montessori Lead Teacher for both our Infant and Toddler Communities. We will also be needing support staff between now and fall. GLTW has been serving the greater Ann Arbor area for more than thirty years. We currently have program for infancy through 6th grade. Habitot Montessori and Childcare Center is a Montessori methodology based early learning center located on the border of Westland and Livonia offering care for toddlers through preschool. We are looking for teachers who can make the children feel the comfort of their own Habitat (their home). We are seeking experienced Lead Teachers for the Toddler group (1 – 2 ½ years). This is a new Montessori and Childcare Center with plenty of opportunity for growth. We are also looking for Assistant Teachers.
Responsibilities:
Create and implement engaging, age appropriate lesson plans and implement them to enhance the child's abilities.
Feeding the children, changing diapers
Maintain all appropriate records
Communicate with parents
Lightly clean and maintain the classroom
Requirements:
Must be fun, caring, energetic yet patient, organized and also flexible and most importantly love children
Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills
Need to be or willing to be certified in first aid, infant/child CPR, blood borne pathogens, infant safe sleep, & shaken baby
Must possess an Montessori certification OR Associates / Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, or Elementary Education with sufficient credits in ECE to meet Michigan state requirements in addition to the required course in Infant/Toddler Development (for Toddler Lead Teacher) with one year experience OR High School Diploma / GED with 2 years of experience.

We are a small private Montessori school located in Ferndale, Michigan. We serve children ages 18 months to 6 years old. We are very consistent with the children and speak to them with respect. No Montessori training is required, only a love of young children.
Duties will include, lunch set up and clean up for a Montessori classroom, supervising recess on a small playground, supporting children in the nap room, and helping children become independent throughout daily transitions.
